Cookies

Hey guys! lately, I was busy baking, baking and baking..together with my mum. We had spent our last few days to bake some cookies which are delicious of course, for the upcoming chinese new year. I was more than happy to bake them. For me, baking is so awesome. I love baking so so much. Let me name some of the cookies that we baked. Cheese cookies, green peas cookies, chocolate cornflakes cookies, chocolate chip cookies (I took a picture of them) and last but not least, pineapple tarts.

Freshly baked!!

Well, after seeing the picture above, does anybody tempted to take a bite out of them? haha.

The Tale of Despereaux

The rain just stopped not long ago and now the wind is blowing cosily. Aaah..such a nice weather. Just now in the morning, I went to the library in my school. I read a book entitled The Tale of Despereaux by Kate DiCamillo. Actually, I finished reading the book already. The Tale of Despereaux is divided into four separate sections called "books". Book I covers Despereaux's childhood and origins, book II on Roscuro, an evil rat with a mysterious past, and book III is about Miggery Sow, a servant girl who is sold by her father for a red table cloth, a pack of cigars and a hen. The first three books are set years apart all concluding up until the fourth book. The fourth book concludes the story. I really love this book as it was so awesome. There are this phrase that I really like too and you know what, I find that it is very true.. there is no comfort in the word "farewell", even if you say it in French. "Farewell" is a word that, in any language, is full of sorrow. It is a word that promises absolutely nothing. what do you think? Did you find the phrase is quite true? By the way, zhichin has currently started to read the same book as mine also. I hope she will finish it soon.

70s songs are great!

Currently, I'm listening to 70s songs on youtube. Most of the songs are just so great. I can't seem to get bored listening to them again and again. By the way I saw some of the comments about the 70s songs which I totally agree with.

One of the comments was, Those were my "Salad Days" and as I look back I realize now how much I miss them. Nothing was impossible to me, everyday was an adventure, the ladies were beautiful and desirable, great music, people did not use the 'f' word every other word to make themselves feel big and grown up, and optimism ruled the day. It was grand!.. I kind of agree with him about the usage of 'f' word. people nowadays use the 'f' word more and more often. It as if they don't have any other proper word to use. I personally don't like people using the 'f' word because it makes him or her seems so ill-mannered.

Next was this comment, nowadays when a new song comes out and you listen to it, within a few weeks it loses it's appeal. I am a 70s child and I do sometimes listen to old songs because they are much better quality. In short old quality songs never go out of fashion. This comment is a good one. I guess today's songs just can't beat the old songs.

My mélange

Hi guys, this is my new blog. Apparently, my old blog has been deleted..and you know what, I deleted it myself. While I was browsing this blogspot thing, I accidentally pressed the wrong button. That's why my blog was deleted. I don't know what's wrong with me today. Everything that I do today just seems so wrong. And I keep making mistakes in my additional maths too. With so many things that didn't seem to be in favour on me today, I felt so tired. I just hope tomorrow will be a better day. Anyway, enough of my rambling.

Basically, I find my new blog more appealing than the previous one. It is more colourful and beautiful. Well, that is what I think. I named my new blog My Mélange. Actually, mélange means a mix of things which I think is so suitable for my diary writing. I like how the french word describes my blog. But, it turned out that I wrote mymelage as the link to my blog. Less of alphabet "N" there. Anyway, it's all good. I just gotta embrace the present and let go of the past.
