Earth Hour

Finally, I'm home after 2 days and 1 night camping. The campfire was awesome one and because I want to describe it as clearly as I can, I'm sure it will be a very very long post. Thus, I'm not gonna post about it now. But, don't worry. I'll surely tell you all more about it next time. Maybe tomorrow? Hmm..let's see if I can make it. ^^

Now, let me start with what happened after I reached home. After I reached home, the first thing that I did was taking a long bath. I took one hour just to bath. Isn't it wonderful? haha.. But after bathing, I felt refreshed and not so tired already. Apparently, I slept more or less only one and a half hour last night. I bet you can imagine how tired I was, both physically and mentally. After the bath, I ate my lunch. Then, I went to Jusco with my mum. At first, we only planned to window shopping there. Walking around so that we can digest better. Ironically, we bought quite a lot of stuff. haha.. While walking around, I think I saw one of the boy that was in the same group as me for the campfire. Ya, it must be him. Surely I can differentiate him well since we always been together as a group for one day already. But, if I'm wrong, never mind also because it only proves that I must have been so tired to imagine things like that.

By the way, today is 'No Plastic Bag Day' at Jusco. I'm a good girl, so I brought my own shopping bags. haha. After done shopping, we went home and I bathed once again. Then, here I am sitting in front of the computer writing this post. =) Oh ya, today is also the Earth Hour and again, since I'm the good girl, I'm gonna support this event by switching off the lights in my house sharp at 8.30pm. My elder brother support this event too and I hope everyone of you also do so. Take it that we help in saving Mother Earth from falling sick. Everyone, it just 60 minutes and by doing so, we contribute something really meaningful to this world. So today, 26th March 2011, from 8.30pm to 9.30pm, let us switch off our lights!! Earth Hour!!

Being able to live is a blessing

Today is still school holiday and since it's holiday, I switched myself into holiday mode also. I'd pushed aside all my schoolwork and homework. I know this is so wrong of me to do so, but I can't control myself. It just so hard to even read one page of the lesson. Okay, maybe I'm exaggerating a bit. I'd still done some of the assignment though. haha.. But still, I find myself really lazy nowadays. Can anyone just tell me what to do to kick off this bad habit? >.< Anyway, that's all about me.

Let me update on the catastrophe that struck Japan few days ago. I saw in the news yesterday that the nuclear reactor in Japan exploded again. As the people there were highly exposed to the nuclear radiation, many of them opt for the radiation test. That means they are scanned with the radiation detector and only if they are proved negative, they are allowed to go to the shelters. Since I can't do anything to help them, I think I might just as well pray for them. that's all I can do. Guys, let us pray for Japan again. Meanwhile, I find that life is unpredictable. That's why all the more we should treasure every moment that we have. remember, no matter we are in happiness or sadness, being able to live is already a blessing.

Pray for Japan

Mother Earth is our sole habitat in the entire universe and provides us with the bounty of her natural resources which we would not have existed at all without them. We drink from her numerous springs and rivers, we breath the air that caresses her being. We eat food which she provides us from her flora and fauna.  We have dug mines into her to satisfy our mineral requirements. In short, we have exploited every opportunity that she provided us for our betterment. She has been the most enduring and loving parent, whereas we have acted like erring children eversince the dawn of history. But, have we gone too far? Now, Mother Earth has really decided to show us her anger and frustration. She is reminding us to be aware of her fury by showing us some signs such as, tsunamis, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, droughts and earthquakes. These natural occurrence have increased not only in frequency but also in intensity.

Latest, there was a tremendous 8.9 magnitude earthquake that struck Japan two days ago. The earthquake then triggered a tsunami causing huge damages such as blackout and fire. Many houses, buildings, vehicles, trees and people were swept away just like that. many people were injured and even died because of this catastrophe. It seems that Mother Earth is really angry. Now, the Japanese have to suffer this harrowing ordeal. people, let us pray for Japan, hoping that they will get over this soon.
